First Post

Mission: I'm jumping around too much and this is my 'structure'.

Goals and Directions
Generalist: Two a night focused, the other two playing through, rotating every other night. Then go back and review and relearn all of Suzuki II, and review Suzuki I.

Current pieces:
Gavotte from Mignon
There's a few rough spots--both southpaw and bowing. Sounds pretty good when I can get in to it. The trills are maturing some more, slowly-they are nice.

Gully's Gavotte
I dove right in to this little piece. It's one of my favorite to date and when I feel more comfortable making it my own am going to jam on it.

Minuet in G
Went quickly, but bowing (staccatto) is slow. Basically nice--needs more refinement.

Gavotte in Gm (from S3).
Melody wise, one of my favorites--that's why I cheated. I will be playing this as long as I can play. See progress note on separation and how I approached the southpaw on this. Some really rough spots in the third theme but I learned it in like a day. Lacks confidence in many bowings, but slowly maturing.
